We Work Toward the Prize

As children, we often dream of becoming firefighters, teachers, astronauts, or artists. We imagine ourselves winning, succeeding, and doing something meaningful. For some, those dreams are nurtured by encouraging parents and a strong belief in their potential. For others, life's hardships bury those hopes, making dreams feel out of reach.
But God never meant for us to live without vision or hope. Scripture calls us to dream, press forward, and live with purpose—not just for earthly goals, but for the ultimate prize of knowing Christ and fulfilling our God-given calling.
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14, KJV
Paul wasn’t just talking about success here on earth. He had his eyes on eternity, a heavenly reward for a life lived in obedience, love, and perseverance.
Still, God delights in watching His children grow, dream, and achieve victory in every area of life. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3, NIV
