What Are Biblical Values? Biblical values are the unchanging truths rooted in God’s Word—love, purity, honesty, justice, generosity, and holiness, which includes the Ten Commandments. These values reflect God’s nature and guide how we live, vote, spend, and speak.
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8, NKJV
How Do We Stand Against the Enemy Without Becoming Self-Righteous or Confused? Satan wants to shame us into silence or pride us into self-righteousness. But Jesus gave us a better example. He said: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing.” John 5:19, NIV
Our stand must not be rooted in ego or guilt but in obedience. The Holy Spirit will tell us when to speak, when to act, and when to be still. We must pray before we protest and listen before we leap. Sometimes churches or others may pressure us to act in ways that sound holy but aren’t Spirit-led. But remember, even good intentions must bow to God’s instruction.
How Do We Stay Salt and Light Without Compromise? We start by staying in God’s Word. We stay connected to like-minded believers. We ask the Spirit for discernment daily. And we remember that small faithful acts of obedience matter. “You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:13-14, ESV
Declaration
Today, I declare that I will be bold in standing for God’s truth, but humble in spirit. I will not move in guilt or fear but in obedience to the Holy Spirit. I will not let compromise creep in through convenience. I will be salt. I will be light. I will be led by the Spirit in all things.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, lead me. When the world feels loud and confusing, remind me to quiet my heart and hear Your voice. Give me courage to stand for what is right—even when it’s uncomfortable. Help me discern when to speak and when to be still. Keep me from pride or guilt and anchor me in truth. Let my actions, even the small ones, reflect Your righteousness and love. Use me to advance Your Kingdom in both boldness and obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
