MEET JOYCE
Hi, I’m Joyce.
I learned early in life that circumstances do not have to determine your future. Raised by an incredible single mother, I was taught the value of faith, resilience, hard work, and believing that a better life is possible.
I carried those lessons into my career in education, where I encouraged students to change the habits and choices that were holding them back. Watching students who once struggled become honor roll students reinforced something I have believed throughout my life: small changes, made consistently, can lead to extraordinary results.
Today, I bring that same belief to ImperfectLee Perfect. Alongside my daughter, Lori, I share the faith, wisdom, encouragement, and practical lessons we have learned through our own lives. My hope is to help you strengthen your faith, make wiser choices with your money, and confidently pursue the life God has placed on your heart.

Hi, I’m Lori.
For years, I believed success meant following the path I had carefully planned. I originally dreamed of becoming a doctor, but life led me into education instead. Over the next 18 years, I built a successful career, took on leadership roles, and achieved goals I once thought would bring fulfillment. Yet deep down, I knew God was calling me toward something more.
Eventually, I took a leap of faith. I began changing my mindset, becoming more intentional with my finances, and pursuing dreams that once felt impossible. One of those changes helped me pay off more than $27,000 in credit card debt in just 10 months.
That journey changed the way I think about money, faith, and what is possible when we stop allowing our circumstances to determine our future. I learned that financial freedom isn't about perfection. It is about making intentional choices, creating a plan, and having the faith and determination to keep moving forward.
Today, through ImperfectLee Perfect, I share those lessons alongside my mom, Joyce. My hope is to help you strengthen your faith, take control of your finances, transform your mindset, and confidently pursue the life God has placed on your heart.
A LESSON FROM MY DAD
My dad always told me, “Inch by inch is a cinch; mile by mile is a trial.” That simple saying taught me a lesson I still carry with me today: Do a little each day, stay consistent, and over time those small steps can add up to something extraordinary.
