Grab Your Miracle – Cultivating Mountain-Moving Faith

Throughout Scripture, we see powerful examples of unwavering faith followed by miraculous results. These accounts are not just historical records; they are blueprints for every believer. The Bible makes it clear that mature faith is available to us all. So why aren’t more Christians walking in mountain-moving faith? The truth is, we each receive a measure of faith (Romans 12:3, KJV), but it must be developed, cultivated into a strong and unwavering force. We can grow our faith to the point where we confidently command mountains of debt, disease, and destruction to be removed and cast into the sea, and see results.

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23 (NKJV)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV)

The lesson is clear: mature, developed faith has the power to destroy every stronghold in our lives—just as it did for Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Let’s begin with the three Hebrew boys and how their fully persuaded faith delivered them from certain death. These young men were captives in a foreign land, with every reason to blame God. They had been orphaned, castrated, and stripped of their names, freedom, and identity. Yet, they clung to one unshakable truth: God is faithful, and God is able.

“Our God is able to deliver us... but even if He doesn’t, we will not serve your gods.”
Daniel 3:17–18 (paraphrased)

They refused to bow and Jesus Himself showed up in the fire. Not only were they untouched by the flames, but Scripture notes that their hair was not singed; their clothes were unharmed, and they didn’t even smell like smoke. That’s the level of faith that refuses to bow to fear, pressure, debt, sickness, or lack. We don’t bow to the mountain; we speak to it and command it to move.

Daniel, a close friend of the three, also demonstrated this kind of unwavering faith. When a law was passed outlawing prayer, Daniel did not panic or compromise. He didn’t beg for mercy. He prayed in peace, knowing his God. God didn’t stop Daniel from being thrown into the lion’s den, He showed up in it.

“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths. Daniel 6:22 (NKJV)

Daniel didn’t lose sleep. He rested in faith, knowing angels were on assignment. Likewise, we may be surrounded by danger or uncertainty, but mature faith allows us to sleep in peace.

So how do we grow into this kind of unstoppable, mountain-moving faith? And more importantly, are we willing to do what it takes to get there?

First, we must take control of our thoughts. Fear always begins in the mind. Scripture tells us to bring every thought into alignment with the Word of God.

“Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NKJV)

Second, we must speak God’s Word—not our fear. When you face a mountain, don’t discuss the problem—command it to leave in Jesus’ name.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

Third, we must surround ourselves with people of faith. Don’t share your spiritual vision or battles with people who speak doubt or mock the promises of God. If there’s no one else to encourage you, follow the example of David, who encouraged himself in the Lord when everyone turned against him (1 Samuel 30:6 KJV).

“Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’” 1 Corinthians 15:33 (NIV)

Faith is contagious—but so is unbelief. We must guard our environment as we would guard our heart.

Ultimately, like Daniel and the Hebrew boys, our victories are determined before the fire or the lions’ den. They are decided by what we believe, what we say, and who we trust.

Declaration of Faith

  • I will not bow to fear, debt, disease, or discouragement.

  • I am filled with mature faith that commands mountains to move.

  • Like Daniel, I rest in God’s protection.

  • Like the Hebrew boys, I trust Him in the fire.

  • I speak to every obstacle and command it to be cast into the sea.

  • I will not be shaken—I am victorious in Christ.

Prayer

Father,
Help me grow in faith until I fully trust in Your Word over everything I see or feel. Give me boldness like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and the peace of Daniel in the lion’s den. Let me speak Your promises with confidence and surround myself with people who agree with Your truth. I refuse to bow to any situation that exalts itself above what You’ve declared. I command every mountain in my life to move, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Challenge Reflection

  • What mountain in your life needs to move today?

  • Are you speaking to it—or speaking about it?

  • Are you surrounding yourself with faith-builders, or with voices that curse your miracle?

  • It’s time to grab your miracle, grow your faith, and command the mountain to move.
